The Henrician Archaeological Research Foundation exists to advance education and public understanding of the Early Modern period, with a particular focus on Henrician and Tudor architecture in England. Our work is research-led, collaborative, and firmly rooted in public benefit, helping to close knowledge gaps while sharing findings in ways that support preservation, deepen appreciation, and encourage informed conservation practice.
The HARF advances education and public understanding of the Early Modern period, with a particular focus on Henrician and Tudor architecture in England and Wales. We foster research, support scholarly collaboration, and share findings for public benefit. Through this work, we explore the historical and cultural significance of this heritage while encouraging its preservation, appreciation, and informed conservation.
Our trustees combine academic insight with private, public and third-sector expertise, bringing research depth alongside practical governance and delivery experience. Trustees are appointed to provide the balanced skills, knowledge and experience needed to run the CIO effectively, including professional, business and community-focused capability.
